Purchased this final week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of safety in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received exceptionally fast applying Amazon Prime.
Tested this portable lock in my property with two several doors and functions wonders! With this lock on, it will make it really troublesome for an intruder to come in to your room. Even though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which tends to make it certainly solid! This makes the entire transportable lock produced of metal! When installed, it was challenging for me to go in the dwelling. I think that I would have to kick the door in to jar this portable lock loose.
Wonderful extra measure of safety! I'll sleep far better figuring out that even if an intruder manage to choose the locks of my hotel space, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this transportable lock in spot!

When it fits, it offers a sturdy barrier, fast to put on or remove. It can be particularly beneficial when renting holiday houses or condos exactly where some realtors, property managers, or maintenance guys tend to enter with no even knocking at times. Too lots of many people seem to have keys, and feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such places. Unfortunately, it only fits classic doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have in no way been able to use it at a hotel, and also sometimes come across it won't operate in frequent doors. Sadly, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with safety bars easily. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some modify that would make it a lot easier to use on "imperfect" doors.
